Real words. Real people. Real experiences.

Writing is her superpower

Having had the privilege of working with Conny at two different companies, with many years in between, I can say without hesitation that she is amazing. She shaped how I think about strategy, creativity, customer relationships, and more. Conny has that rare combination of big-picture vision and practical execution. She not only imagines brilliant ideas but also builds the systems to bring them to life, and then puts the utmost care into the finishing details.

An effective leader and collaborator, Conny skillfully adapts her approach to serve the mission at hand. Her writing is her superpower: she communicates with clarity and creativity, whether it’s a book, a strategy deck, or a punchy headline. On top of all that, Conny truly can whip any process or project into shape with incredible outcomes.

I learned so much from Conny and am deeply grateful for her mentorship and leadership. She is thoughtful, visionary, and endlessly capable. Any organization would be lucky to have her—and her colleagues would have fun working with her!

An authentic care for the work she does

Conny is a true marketing and advertising veteran professional. Her years of experience and knowledge are invaluable to any business, and it's clear that beyond that, there is an authentic care for the work she does and the people it's for, that translates to even better outcomes and experiences for her clients in turn.

A powerhouse of a leader and organizer

I worked under Conny as a designer for seven years and she is truly a powerhouse of a leader and organizer. Every part of a project is accounted for and in its rightful place, and if you don’t have a resource you need, she’ll find it.

She’s particularly skilled at balancing client expectations and requests, and giving creatives space to explore and be heard, and she’ll go to bat to defend her team when necessary. Watching her navigate client feedback is incredibly impressive; she can take very vague and uncertain responses and tease out exactly what they’re looking for. She also builds such strong working relationships with clients that she can predict and avoid pitfalls before they appear, which saved me extra rounds of revisions many times over the years.

Conny’s someone I went to often when I was stuck, and she always had incredibly helpful feedback and a keen eye for when something just wasn’t working. She’s a joy to sit and chat with, and I would happily work on her team again at any point in the future.

Masterful organization and communication skills

I've worked with Conny (and for and as a client) in several capacities, going back 34 years. Every experience was a complete pleasure. We should all be so lucky to work with someone as hard-working, strategic, creative, meticulous, smart–and fun!–as Conny.

I first met Conny when I joined Yaffe & Company as a copywriter. She was an account executive–what we semi-derogatorily called a "suit," but right from the start I could see she was really more of a creative at heart. She's one of a rare breed who can walk that line between departments, and that ability has served her well throughout her career.

Next, I worked alongside Conny at Big Idea magazine–literally, we shared an office–and it was easy to see how meticulous and thoughtful she was at her job. Whatever the job may be. It was always a comfort to have her in a brainstorming session as she is a passionate contributor of ideas and an excellent collaborator. (And, again, fun.)

In her role at Crypton, she hired me as a freelance writer, and we once again became collaborators. She is one of the most articulate and organized people I know, which I was reminded of again when my employer hired her and Know to create and execute a brand new website. If ever someone with masterful organization and communication skills were required, it would be for this kind of longterm project.

Despite being a writer myself, I feel I am failing to adequately capture all of Conny's impressive qualities and skills. She is a risk-free hire who will surpass your expectations. When you see her resume in your pile, you're going to want to make her your first call.

Competent, creative, resourceful, inspiring

I’ve had the privilege of working under Conny Coon’s leadership for the past three years at Know Advertising, where she has served as my manager and senior account manager. To say she has made my time here immeasurably better would be an understatement.

Conny is the kind of leader who sets the tone for an entire team — she makes everyone feel seen, heard, supported, and genuinely valued. Her communication skills are unmatched, and her ability to balance efficiency, organization, and empathy is something I’ve never experienced at this level before. She knows how to get things done, and she does it with grace, clarity, and consistency.

Under Conny’s guidance, I’ve learned more in three years than I think I have in my entire career prior. Her leadership not only strengthened my own confidence to take the lead on major initiatives, but also gave our clients an unwavering sense of trust that they were in the best possible hands. She leads with precision, passion, and purpose — and it shows in every project she touches.

Conny truly supersedes every manager I’ve ever worked with. Her depth of knowledge, industry intuition, and sheer capability put her in a league of her own. Anyone would be incredibly lucky to have her on their team — she’s an undeniable asset, an immeasurable addition, and a powerhouse in every sense of the word.

I will always be grateful that my advertising career began with Conny at the helm. She’s competent, creative, resourceful, inspiring — and just downright badass.

A fantastic advertising professional, writer and editor

Conny was my manager for 5 years at Know Advertising, and to try to sum up what she did in 3,000 characters or less is going to be impossible.

As Director of Client Services, she managed clients and employees with professionalism and grace. She's incredibly organized, efficient, professional, and always went above and beyond to make everyone feel valued. Not only does she have the strategic acumen needed to manage accounts for clients, but she's incredibly creative and would provide thoughtful feedback to help me steer my work where it needed to go for the client. I would never hesitate to bounce ideas off her or ask for help when I needed it.

Not only is she a fantastic advertising professional, writer and editor, but she's also a wonderfully kind, good-natured person. Her management personality helped shape the agency into a kind, collaborative environment where everyone worked together harmoniously and efficiently for the benefit of our clients—and got results for those clients, too.

I will deeply miss working with Conny and selfishly hope that we're able to work together soon, but I know whatever company manages to snap her up will be thrilled with the smart, capable, and creative ad pro she is.

Strong strategic thinking

Conny is the rare kind of leader who is equal parts motivating to fun, all while setting a high bar for her team through her exemplary work ethic and infectious kindness.

As a Senior Account Executive and exceptional Copywriter, her strong strategic thinking allows her to immediately break down complex issues into clear, actionable, step-by-step plans. She always handles sensitive situations with complete diplomacy, effortlessly navigating potential conflict to achieve the best professional outcomes for everyone.

Any organization looking for an expert leader to inspire growth and uplift team culture would be SO lucky to have her!
